These terms and conditions are accepted when buying items or using services of the computer room nottingham and are available on the website and on request by text message email or printed on paper. They are also accepted in the case of parts used to effect repairs to devices as well.

 

Once an item is taken away or sent away from us, repaired or otherwise in one piece or not, we cannot be held responsible for anything happening to it, inside or outside of the item due to damage/accidents or dismantling of an item.

For the purpose of these terms and conditions, the words "item" and "device" refer to any items brought into us for repair. Items/devices are refered to as the thing that needs to be worked on and any accessories/chargers also, plus anything the accessories/chargers contain such as fuses/memory cards/memory sticks.

 

The computer room nottingham is a repair company, we resolve hardware problems with replacement parts, this is completely dependent on part availability, we do not replace whole items of any kind with alternative products, or provide any type compensations of any kind, even in the event that parts are not available and the item cannot be repaired either before the item is delivered to us for repair or whilst the item is with us - item replacement can be achieved by obtaining suitable types of insurance from appropriate companies.

 

The computer room nottingham accept no responsibility for any data loss what so ever in any device we work on.

 

Any remaining manufacturers warranty on items we repair will be void by the manufacturer when we repair the item this includes any kind of jail breaking/unlocking we are asked to carry out.

 

Items sent/delivered to us by post/courier/item owner for repair, that are not either paid for, or collected within a 2 week period of it being established that work is complete and payment is required, will be disposed of without any prior notice as we will take the lack of contact as no intention of paying or wanting the item anymore.

 

In the event that we are brought parts of items/or whole items with parts intended for repair that need re assembly/repair due to them being dismantled and/or worked on by other parties we cannot be held responsible if they do not work upon us reassembling them due to the fact that faults may have occured or damage caused by other parties. With this type of work we can only act as repairers and report what we find no matter what is reported to us before we start work.

 

During the time items needing repair are with us, we accept no responsibility for any known issues arising or otherwise with any type of item or any other faults that could develop of any kind including well known issues, examples are below:

Issues with items that are known of, inherent or acknowledged by manufacturer or any other body.

 

These are items the computer room nottingham have experienced and also have learned of during investigations for items, this list is not a complete list, there could be more known issues about items that we may not have experienced.

Latent damage can happen at any time to any items that can suffer from it whether being repaired or during normal use

We carry out repairs only on issues/faults effecting the item we are working on that have been reported to us. Any other faults/problems arising while the item being repaired is with us are not our responsibility and we cannot accept responsibility for anything happening of that kind.

 

For example: An item may be brought to us with 1 reported problem, but whilst attempting repairs of the problem reported to us or not, other problems could occur as a result of the 1 problem that was reported to us, whether we can fix any other problems or not, we cannot be held responsible for other problems occuring whilst we are trying to repair problems reported to us. We cannot be held responsible for devices that stop working whilst with us that is due to wear and tear or latent damage.

 

Whilst every care is taken to safeguard an item/items problem from getting worse we cannot safeguard against any problems in the item we are not aware of, that if disturbed, could make the items condition worse.

 

Replacement parts fitted during the course of a repair have a 1 year warranty on them for faults occuring in the parts due to bad manufacture, in the case where components are supplied by us, but not fitted by us, we require those parts returning to us so we can supply replacement parts under the warranty. In the case where parts are supplied and fitted by us, we can replace the faulty parts by the item they are fitted in being returned to us, so the parts can be replaced by us under warranty. This warranty will be void if parts fitted by us are removed and replaced by any other party and therefore will not be replaced under warranty, refunds will not be given for parts supplied and/or parts/repairs supplied if you decide yourself to remove/replace parts fitted by us. The one year warranty starts from the date the repair is complete and ends 1 year after that date no matter whether ay hardware is replaced or not.

 

Any items used to effect repairs or items supplied for self fitting remain the property of the computer room nottingham until paid for in full.

 

Repairs of any items can only be carried out if suitable components can be found by the computer room nottingham using reputable reliable suppliers we see fit to use the products/services of.

 

We accept no responsibility for the time item repairs can take due to part availability or otherwise.

 

We are happy to use parts supplied to us by customers/item owners, but cannot accept responsibility for any detrimental effect these components may have on the items needing repair and cannot give warranty on parts not supplied by us.

 

If items needing repair are sent to us in the post/by courier we accept no responsibility for them being lost, stolen or damaged whilst in transit to or from the computer room nottingham.

 

We shall under no circumstances be liable for any loss, damage, expense or injury of any kind. Whether direct, consequential or otherwise, arising in connection with the execution of a contract or the use or failure of the goods supplied or any defect in them, or from any other cause whether or not due to the acts or omissions of the computer room nottingham, its staff, contractors, or its agents, in excess of the contract invoice value.

 

With reference to items bought through the website and sent in the post, if they are returned for exchange they are sent back at your own cost. In the event of refunds, for whatever reason, for items bought from our website, prices paid for the item only are refunded, postage costs are not refunded. All items are checked for operation prior to being made available as stock on our website, so are sent out as part of orders as working and fit for purpose. Items sent back in case of refund for whatever reason are tested on their return, if they are not in the same condition as when they were sent, or are faulty/have parts missing and cannot be resold, refunds will not be given.

 

The prices we give are true and accurate when given and are dependent on correct information being provided to us such as items requiring repair and specific model number/generation. We reserve the right to charge non refundable deposits for anything as see reasonably fit to charge for. We reserve the right to charge for any extra work or time that goes into a repair that is outside the normal repair routes, for example: collecting and returning an item for repair, taking an item to a third party whether sending it or physically taking it anywhere ourselves. These types of charges will be informed and agreed before being added and will be reasonable for the extra work or time being carried out.

 

When sending items back that are sent to us for repair, we send them back in the same packaging they are sent in or something superior to ensure their safety when in transit.

 

We reserve the right to change prices for repairs/parts if we find we have not been given correct or enough information.
